West Wind Airspray has been successfully involved in a number of forestry projects within Canada to help mitigate the damage done to the trees by Spruce Budworm.
Spruce Budworm are devastating trees in many communities across Canada. Fortunately, there is a long-standing, proven treatment utilizing a natural soil bacteria [Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt)]. For more than 30 years, Btk (kurstaki variety) has been used in Canada and the USA to mitigate spruce budworm infestation. Btk has been proven safe for all flora and fauna and has no known toxic effects.
